Instructions:

How to Play Klondike Solitaire

Objective: Move all cards to the foundation piles.

Setup: A standard 52-card deck is dealt into seven tableau columns, with the first column having one card, the second having two, and so on. The top card of each column is face-up, while the rest are face-down. The remaining cards form the stock.

Gameplay:

  • Move cards between tableau columns in descending order and alternating colors (e.g., a red Queen can be placed on a black King).
  • Move sequences of cards between tableau columns.
  • Turn over the top card of a column when all cards above it have been moved.
  • Move Aces to the foundation piles, and then build up in suit from Ace to King.
  • Draw cards from the stock pile, and use them to build on the tableau or foundations.
